hundreds of spectators had to be evacuated Monday evening of the festival of hip-hop Fresh Island on the Croatian adriatic coast, due to an impressive forest fire, reported on Tuesday the british press. Rapper Tyga was intended to ensure the headliner of the first night.

hundreds of spectators, who come to enjoy three days of music and partying on the pebble beaches of Zrce, on island Pag, in the north of the Croatian coast, had to be evacuated. The road to reach the nearest city, Novalja, has been barred by the firemen and the spectators have initially been evacuated to the entrance of the festival.

The videos, posted in the night on the social networks, give an idea of the extent of the flames. A spectator on the spot entrust to the tabloid English Mirror that the flames did “the double tree” and that the cloud of smoke is “spread very quickly”. The rapper Not3s, which is supposed to occur him also on the night of the opening, has posted a message on his account Instagram, inviting fans to “stay safe” and to take care not to “inhale the smoke”.

The festival resumes this Tuesday

The fans, who were concerned to see the event purely and simply cancelled, the festival management has taken to address these reassuring words on Tuesday afternoon, via his Twitter account: “Good news! The emergency services were able to subdue the fire and reopen the road. (…) Thus, we have the pleasure to confirm that Fresh Island will continue as planned.” She asks, however festival-goers to “always stay on the road and do not enter the forest area affected by fires last night”.
