Bulgarian journalist Ognyan Stamboliev said that Russia “gave” myself the Cyrillic alphabet. This opinion he shared in a blog on the portal Fakti.bg.
In his opinion, Russia “ignores” the role of Bulgaria in the creation of literature and the enlightenment of the Slavs. He noted that the fact about the role of the Bulgarians in education was not mentioned on timed to the Day of Slavic writing and culture exhibition at the Russian cultural information center in Sofia.
“Thus, Russia has officially crossed Bulgaria from the history of writing created by the Holy brothers Cyril and Methodius,” concluded Stamboliev.
