According to her, quality melon usually has a regular shape, smooth surface free of inclusions and green spots. The medic added that the indicator of the maturity of the fruit is a dry tail.

In an interview with “Evening Moscow”, the expert advises to eat melon on an empty stomach. Filled with food in the stomach melon is able to provoke unrest and disorder.

Solomatina warned that the melon should not eat for people with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and diabetes.

Speaking about the beneficial properties of melon, the doctor said that it cleanses the body and helps to recover from intoxication or frustration, but also removes salts of heavy metals. Melon is also useful because it contains vitamin C, folic acid and carotenoids.
