In the state Duma draft laws on administrative and criminal responsibility for public appeals and actions for the violation of the territorial integrity of Russia, the correspondent “of Rosbalt”.
the Bills are aimed at differentiation of administrative and criminal punishment for the act in question. It is envisaged that the first time offender, calling for the separation from Russia of part of its territory, will be punished with a fine.
For citizens it will make from 30 thousand to 60 thousand rubles from 60 thousand to 100 thousand rubles for officials and from 200 thousand to 300 thousand rubles for legal entities. Penalties will increase up to 500 thousand rubles, if the calls were distributed through the media or Internet.
If the same person repeatedly within one year after the imposition of administrative sanctions would make the same calls, comes to prosecution with a maximum fine of up to 400 thousand rubles or imprisonment for up to four years. The criminal code is also supplemented by a new article 280.2 “violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation”, providing for penalty for alienation of part of the territory or other actions (with the exception of the delimitation, demarcation, redemarcation of the state border of the Russian Federation), aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, in the absence of signs of the crimes provided by articles 279 and 280.1 of the criminal code of deprivation of liberty for a term from six to ten years.
Previously, the state Duma adopted in the first reading the bill that places an equal sign between appeals and action for the violation of the territorial integrity of the country and extremism.
