Ashgabat is recognized as the second most expensive city in the world

the Capital of Turkmenistan Ashgabat took second place in the ranking of Cost of Living Survey by Mercer most expensive city after Hong Kong. Last year Ashgabat was listed as the seventh, and previously was not even in the top ten.

the rankings take into account the exchange rate fluctuations, the impact of inflation on the value of products and services, the instability of housing prices.

the top ten expensive cities as of March, also includes Tokyo, Zurich, Singapore, new York, Shanghai, Bern, Geneva and Beijing.

Moscow is in the list of 21 place Saint Petersburg – 59-E.
