The artist Banksy made a new time to talk to him. The street artist has just opened a temporary store in the suburb of Croydon in south London. Its uniqueness? It will never even be opened its doors during its two weeks of existence. It is there, in the words of Banksy on Instagram, as “for display purposes”.

The exhibits will not be for sale but should soon be available to purchase online on the Internet, once the shop is closed. A child’s bed surrounded by cameras, cushions printed with a carpet resembling the skin of beasts, all of these objects will be exposed to the interior of the shop. The showcase will be informed 24 hours on 24 in order to enable people to admire the works of Banksy at all hours of the day and night. But the famous anonymous advises rather come in the evening.

. This showroom is for display purposes only. I’m opening a shop today (although the doors don’t actually open). It’s in Croydon. Probably best viewed at night.

Banksy says he has launched this store for reasons of “not really poetry”: prevent the map editor vows to use his name for commercial purposes. “I continue to encourage all those who want to copy, borrow, steal or modify my works for entertainment purposes, academic research or activism. But I don’t want anyone to have exclusive rights to the commercial exploitation of my name,” says Banksy.
