China launched to Mars its first interplanetary station

on Thursday China plans to launch a heavy rocket-carrier “Changzheng-5” (CZ-5) with the automatic interplanetary station Mars exploration, according to Chinese media. This will be the first Chinese mission to explore the red planet.

the Launch is scheduled from the Chinese spaceport Wenchang in Hainan island. The rocket is supposed to space interplanetary station “Tangwani-1” — Orbiter and a landing platform with the Rover. The purpose of the mission is to search for traces of life on Mars and to explore possibilities of colonization.

the Launch was scheduled for the time window from 23 July to 5 August, because it allows to achieve the minimum duration and minimum fuel consumption during the flight to Mars. This window appears every 26 months.
