In the United States died a famous civil rights activist John Lewis. Black activist who, along with Martin Luther king was part of the “Big six” leaders of the movement against racism and segregation, and in maturity became a Congressman, was 80 years old.
Together with the king, he in 1963 was the organising of the March on Washington, a key event in the history of African Americans defending their rights.
