editor-in-Chief of the online edition of “Cold” Taisia Bekbulatova released after interrogation in the investigation Department of the FSB in the framework of the criminal case of treason against former journalist of “Kommersant” and adviser to the head of Roscosmos Ivan Safronov. As reported “Interfax” citing a source Bekbulatova HT remained in the status of the witness.
Recall, Safronova, former journalist of “Kommersant”, was detained this morning. As reported in the public relations Center of the FSB of Russia, Safonov is suspected in the transfer of information constituting a state secret, representative of one of the special services of NATO countries. In its relation criminal case on signs of the crime provided by article 275 of the criminal code (“treason”). He faces up to 20 years in prison.
Commenting on the situation, the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin noted that Safronov had no access to classified information while working in Roskosmos. According to Rogozin, 1.5 months ago, Safronov was invited “to cover the activities of Roscosmos”. “Access to classified information was not”, — stressed the head of Roscosmos. He also pointed out that a few years knew Safronov as a journalist, deeply versed in the material which he prepared for publication in the newspaper “Kommersant”, where he worked until last year. Rogozin stressed that he never doubted the excellence and integrity Safronova and expressed confidence that “the consequence in all will objectively understand.”
