Actor opens up about his lifestyle switch to farm lifestyle

Adrian Grenier may have lived the high life as Vincent Chase in”Entourage,” but today the Hollywood celebrity is living a self-sufficient life in Texas.

In an interview with Austin Life magazine, Grenier disclosed he place Los Angeles and New York behind him so he could pursue farming.

His farm is allegedly 45 minutes outside Austin in Bastrop, a city that has a population of roughly 88,723, based on U.S. Census data. It also sits far from the Colorado River and wildflower fields, the magazine reports.

“I purchased a place in Austin five decades ago and a year ago I decided to move here permanently,” Grenier told Austin Life. “I had friends here, I ran a business here, and enjoyed the speed. Austin is cosmopolitan with no snooty; it’s earthy. People are intelligent and effective but they do not flaunt it.”

The 44-year-old actor moved to Texas in December and has been working to make his property a”wildlife sanctuary” where butterflies, bees, birds and eventually llamas or alpacas can find food.

Meanwhile, the create he and his partner Jordan Roemmele grow collectively comprises apples, peaches, loquats, figs, avocados and more. The pair will also be working to restore the equilibrium of the pond, so they will be able to fish their own protein.

Although Grenier has made significant advances on his own farm in recent months and has documented a lot of it upon his own Instagram, he doesn’t call himself a”farmer.” Instead, he favors the term”apprentice.”

Long before he made his lifestyle change, Greiner’s breakout functions were at the HBO series”Entourage” and David Frankel’s”The Devil Wears Prada.”

But he believed that the push to change the trajectory of his life when he realized he wasn’t living sustainably.

“I have been doing environmental work for the previous 20 years, I’ve started organizations and run non-profits, designed to inform people to reside more in line with character –and I wasn’t living that way,” Greiner explained to Austin Life. “In many ways, I realized that the apex of the promise–if you work hard, you become famous, then you create a great deal of money… but it was lackluster in the very best”

Currently, Greiner is a UN Environment Programme Goodwill Ambassador and co-founder of this Lonely Whale, a company devoted to reducing plastic use and saving the world’s oceans.
