In the heart of Vieux Lyon, the Musée des arts de la marionnette (Mam) is getting a makeover. It was reopened on 23 November. The set design, which adds value to a fund of more than 2,000 puppets from the Fifteenth century to today as well as 3,000 sets, costumes and accessories, wants to be “didactic and immersive”. It answers three questions: where is the puppet? What is it? And how the illusion operates?
