In Athens, protests erupted over the death of an African American in the United States

Near the American Embassy in Athens, a protest was held in support of demonstrations in the US, which started because of the death of African American George Floyd after detention by the police. The protesters threw at the police “Molotov cocktails”.

As the portal Protagon, first the protest was peaceful, but then some protesters started throwing stones at police, and then “Molotov cocktails.”

the campaign was about 2-3 thousand protesters. Police used tear gas and arrested seven people.

the Protests in the US began after the death of the African-American George Floyd in Minneapolis on may 25. He was detained on suspicion in use of counterfeit bills. One of the officers pressed on his throat with his knee, later Floyd died in hospital. Protests were also held in Paris.
