As stated by the head of the Committee, Klaus Ernst, the meeting will act as third-party experts that will justify the need for stronger action in the event of the failure of diplomacy.
In particular, will consider the package of measures that Berlin is planning to take in coordination with the other EU countries.
the Ministry of economy of Germany is concerned about the impact of US sanctions on European companies, banks and government organizations.
“If all diplomatic efforts will be fruitless, I hope that the Federal government will be ready to take a tougher line against Washington,” said Ernst, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Previously, the Agency Bloomberg has learned that German authorities have developed a response to U.S. sanctions against the “Nord stream-2”, work on the strip which was suspended in December 2019 for the first batch of us sanctions.
