Moscow’s Department issued a permit for restoration of a three storey house in Milyutinsky pereulok, 9/1, inhabited by the NKVD, including one of the heads of the Soviet organs of state security, Genrikh Yagoda.
the House was built in the late 20-ies of the last century near the NKVD building on Lubyanka square. It was nine respectable 4-5 room apartments with spacious rooms, dining rooms and bathrooms for the chiefs office.
According to the head of the Moscow cultural heritage Department Alexei Yemelyanov, the house was the work of the outstanding Soviet architect Arkady Langman. It is included in the list of objects of cultural heritage of regional significance, so all the work in it will be held on the draft agreed to by the Agency and under the supervision of specialists. To complete the restoration plan at the end of August 2021.
