In Primorye, the ex-cops go on trial for murder in hunting

In Primorye will go on trial two former police officers and the father of one of them. They are accused that during the illegal hunting, one of them accidentally killed a man, then men hid the body and misled the investigation, according regional Prosecutor’s office.

According to the case file, the incident occurred in October 2019 in the forest near the village of Mirror. During illegal hunting with the use of an unregistered hunting rifle one of the men took the animal a local resident who was hiding in the bushes, and shot him. Men tried to conceal the crime, and further provided the result of false information, obstructing the investigation.

Three of the defendants depending on the role each accused of causing death by negligence, illegal hunting, theft, intentional destruction of property by a group of persons upon a preliminary collusion, interference in the activities of the investigator. As stated in the Prosecutor’s office, the prosecution in the involuntary manslaughter charges against the father of one of ex-police officers.

currently, the investigation is completed, it will be sent in Kavalerovskiy district court for consideration on the merits.
