In Russia, sharply increased the number of bankruptcies among individuals and individual entrepreneurs

In the first half of 2020 in Russia, bankrupt, it was recognized almost 50% more natural persons and individual entrepreneurs than in the same period of 2019. If in January—June last year these were recognized by 29 thousand in the first six months of this year — 42,72 thousand, reports “Kommersant”.

At the same time, the newspaper notes, the number of bankruptcies this year decreased by 26% and amounted to 4.5 thousand legal entities compared to 6.1 per thousand in the same period of 2019.

Most corporate bankruptcies occurred in the second quarter of 2020, and personal in the first. So, at the end of the first quarter the number of personal bankruptcies increased by 68% (to 22.36 thousand people) compared to the same period last year, in the second quarter, 29.6% (to 20.36 million people).

this is largely due to the pandemic coronavirus and the regime of self-isolation, including the limits of judicial bodies: for nearly two months, the courts rarely considered the bankruptcy cases of companies and less than usual in relation to the citizens. But by the end of the second quarter of a shortage of solutions in the previous months was partially offset, explained in Peresource. In addition, part of bankruptcies are now pending because of the moratorium, which applies to more than 2 million legal entities and entrepreneurs, with only 400 companies and 50 SP refused it.

most Often a legal entity during this time bankrupt in Moscow — 852, in the Moscow region — 309, in Saint-Petersburg — 293. Among the citizens most often bankrupt the residents of Moscow and Moscow region, Samara region, St.-Petersburg, Krasnodar territory.
