In the Altai of the Russian Orthodox Church faces a fine for a procession during a pandemic coronavirus

In the Altai region the organizers of the procession will be punished for violation of restrictions of public events in the framework of the fight against the spread of coronavirus.

As reported by news Agency “bankfaks” in the management of Rospotrebnadzor in Altai Krai, June 28 procession to Korobeinikova-the Kazan icon of the Mother of God was organized by Altai Archdiocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. He began in the village Korobeynikovo under the leadership of deacon Konstantin Filatov, then the believers have passed several villages, and returned to Korobeynikovo. The participants in the procession refused to stay overnight in schools and gyms and spent the night in tents. This alone was clarified that the passage through the village is prohibited. Judging by the published by the Church photos, the procession was attended by several dozen citizens without medical masks.

In the regional Rospotrebnadzor reported that in response to the request of Metropolitan Sergius on the organization of the event reminded him about the prohibition of mass events, but the ROC has ignored this information, and organized action. The sanction of article 20.6.1 of the administrative code (violation of the rules of conduct in emergency situations or the threat of its occurrence) provides a fine for legal entities of up to 300 thousand rubles, and the Protocol had to be the police. In GU MVD of Russia in the Altai territory not comment on the situation.
