In Komsomolsk-on-Amur and in Khabarovsk, held rallies in support of the detainee on the eve of the Governor Sergey Furgala.
As reported DVHab.ru in Komsomolsk-on-Amur several dozen people gathered for a rally near the building of city administration. The participants were holding placards with slogans in support of arrested head of the region and chanted: “Freedom!”. Passing cars and passenger buses supported the participants by the horns.
the Rally was unauthorized, but the police did not intervene, but people in civilian clothes took pictures of the participants close up. Later, the protesters were joined by new members with a large banner with a photo Furgala and says “”I/We Sergey Furgal. Far East with You!”.
a Similar event was held in Khabarovsk.
in addition, more than 20 thousand signatures collected petition in defense of Furgala on the website Change.org.
the Governor of Khabarovsk territory Sergey Furgala was detained on 9 July and after questioning in Moscow – was charged in the killings of businessmen in 2004-2005 and sent into custody. Furgal myself not guilty.
