In the Netherlands, said the data about high radiation on the border of Russia and European countries

the national Institute for public health and the environment (RIVM) in the Netherlands denied reports in the media, where it is stated that the source of the increase of background radiation in Northern Europe was Russia.

Earlier on the website of the Institute reported that the radionuclides came to Europe from Western Russia. Now they say that maybe because of the wrong translation (the message was posted in the Netherlands) some of the media mistakenly wrote that radioactive material came from Russia.

“At this stage it is impossible to determine a specific country-source”, — is spoken in the message of the RIVM.

In the first half of June, the sensors Norway, Finland and Sweden recorded an increase in the level of radionuclides on-site. The number of substances was very low and did not cause damage to human health and the environment.

Executive Secretary of the preparatory Commission of the Treaty Organization the comprehensive nuclear-test-ban (CTBT) Lassina Zerbo June 26, wrote on Twitter that Sweden recorded an increase of background radiation. He stuck to the message map with the selected region, which could be the source of infection. The selected area covers the southern part of Sweden, Central Baltic sea and the North-Western part of Russia, including Leningrad region, Karelia, part of Arkhangelsk region.

In a press-service “Rosatom” reported that there were no incidents in the work of the Leningrad and Kola nuclear power plant was not recorded.
