Ivan Safronov was detained on the morning of 7 July under the article on treason. In Roscosmos said that it is not related to the current work of the Corporation. Dmitry Rogozin later said that Safronov had no access to classified information.
According to security officers, Safronov passed classified information to one of the special services of NATO. The FSB said that we are talking about the information on military-technical cooperation and defense of the Russian Federation.
Safronov faces up to 20 years in prison. He not pleaded guilty.
