Society in Belarus is not yet ready to become President of a woman, said Alexander Lukashenko.
According to him, the Constitution of Belarus says, “no lady”. He explained that the President of the country “has a strong power,” BelTA reports.
“we Have a President — not Lithuania. There was President Dalia Grybauskaite, came poulybalis, sat and went. Not responsible for anything, because there is a parliamentary Republic… we — no. The President is a man, I am absolutely convinced,” he added.
Now the presidential candidates of Belarus are collecting signatures for the nomination, among them are four women.
