Media reported about resignation of the mayor of Magas

The mayor of Magas (Ingushetia), Ruslan Arsamakov wrote the application about dismissal at own will, said the source, “Interfax”. The Agency reminds that Arsamakov worked in this position for seven months. As explained by the interlocutor of the Agency, Arsamakov wrote a letter of resignation after a meeting with the head of the region. “As far as I know, it’s the last working day in this position,” said the source. The reason for the dismissal is unknown. We will remind that on 20 September 2019 the mayor of Magas Beslan Tsechoev left his post in connection with the expiration of the term of office. His resignation was approved by the city Council. On the same day, the acting head of the capital were appointed Mohammed Marziev. He resigned on 19 October. The acting as the mayor of Magas, was appointed Arsamakov. On 13 November, the city Council confirmed his appointment. Earlier media wrote that the head of the city Arsamakov on the official car got in an accident on the bridge at the entrance to the city and taken to hospital with injuries. According to the regional MIA, the evening of 26 may, the mayor was driving a company car at the intersection of the Federal highway “Kavkaz” and the highway Nazran — Magas. The driver lost control, the car crashed into a concrete fence of a circular road junction. Arsamakov and the driver of his official vehicle was taken to the police station and interviewed. The press service of mayor’s office stated that neither the head of Magas nor the driver was not injured. There denied the information in social networks about a drunken road accident with participation of the mayor, adding that the cause of the incident was the failure of the brake system of the utility vehicle.
