Media: Russia has experienced five years of record levels of air pollution

the Level of air pollution in Russia in the first quarter of 2020 increased by 57% compared to the year 2019. It is reported by RBC with reference to the study of the analytical service auditing and consulting company Finexpertiza on the basis of the data of Roshydromet.

For the first four months 2020 recorded 44 cases of high levels of air pollution. This is a record for the last five years of observations. In 2019 for the same period were 28 cases.

The press service of the Ministry said that the findings Finexpertiza coincide with the data of Roshydromet, which is part of the Department.

According to the newspaper, most of the air pollution affected: Buryatia (21 cases), Transbaikalia (eight) and Krasnoyarsk Krai (seven).

High air pollution recorded when the contents of one or more hazardous substances at levels ten times or more higher than the determined sanitary norms of maximum permissible concentration (MPC).
