Media: the Authorities of Arizona are conducting an investigation against Apple for intentionally slowing down your old iPhone

the Government of the U.S. state of Arizona are conducting an investigation against Apple, which has to establish whether the slowdown in company old iPhone unfair trade practices, Reuters reports, citing relevant documents.

According to the Agency, the investigation began at the latest in October 2018 and is maintained by the efforts of several States. In particular, investigators have sent to Apple a request to get the data on “unexpected shutdowns” smartphones and slowing down their work.

Earlier this year, Apple paid about $500 million to settle a lawsuit about slowing down older iPhone models. Users claimed that after the update they decreased the performance of smartphones, which makes them think that their gadgets require replacement. Apple attributed the slow down to such factors as temperature changes.
