On 15 December next at the Zenith of Lille, live on TF1, Maeve Coucke will end his year of Miss France and will see a new young woman to succeed him. The crown created by the jeweler Julien D Orcel has been unveiled. For the first time in the history of the competition, the jury will be 100% female.

As in the last two promotions, they are 30 miss regional to qualify for the supreme title. For Miss France In 2019, Saint-Pierre-and-Miquelon will not be represented and will be replaced by an elected Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy. The marathon ceremonies took place on Friday, 22th of June in Papeete and ended Friday, October 26 at Tinqueux (Marne).

This new promotion has undergone a few changes. Jennie Pons, Miss Provence 2018 has decided to give up his scarf to prioritize his love life. Wynona Gueraïni (19 years old and 1.74 m), his second runner-up, will replace it when the national election. A candidate was losing the election of Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais “because of disagreements on legal”. Previously elected Miss Côte d’opale and dauphine of Miss Aviation France, Meggy Pint was no longer in line with the rules of Miss France, which stipulates “not to have been the winner of a beauty contest at a regional level, national or international, and in particular, to a contest contrary to the values of Miss France and/or the trademark Miss France and/or infringing”. The region will be represented by Annabelle Varane, sister of world champion Raphael Varane, who want to participate without all the hype.

But before the big election, the Miss have made the traditional journey of preparation with suitcases charged. This year, they have flown away to the island of Mauritius. On-site, they have had a busy (photos in swimwear, test culture general won by Miss Centre-Val de Loire and a tour of the island). In particular, they have celebrated the birthday of Jean-Pierre Foucault who co-leads the traditional ceremony with Sylvie Tellier.
Maeve Coucke, the Miss France title, were not present. The young woman was preparing for the 68th Miss World contest in which she participated on the 8th of December in Sanya in China. She was even directly qualified for the grand final. She eventually finished in the top 12.
