the Daughter of historian Sérgio Buarque de Holanda and the musician Maria Amélia Cesário Alvim, Miúcha, whose real name is Heloisa Maria Buarque de Holanda, is part of a sibling group of singers. His brother was the famous Chico Buarque. His sisters, singers also, are Ana de Hollanda, minister of Culture of Brazil in 2011 – 2012, and Cristina Buarque. Miúcha has been a wife for eight years of one of the fathers of bossa nova, João Gilberto. With him, she had a daughter, interprets it as, Bebel Gilberto.
In 1975, Miúcha unveiled its first album, The Best of Two Worlds , created in a trio with João Gilberto and Stan Getz. After this publication, she is associated with Tom Jobim on the other two albums, by participating in the musical show, directed by him and the poet Vinicius de Moraes. Played for a year in Rio de Janeiro and then in Europe, it was the origin of the album Tom, Vinícius, Toquinho e Miúcha , recorded in 1977. In the framework of his european tour, Miúcha gave a grand concert in the hall of the Olympia in Paris in 1978.
