In St. Petersburg officially recognized as unemployed more than 100 thousand people. This at a press conference in TASS said the chief specialist of monitoring Department of the municipal Committee for labour and employment Mikhail Kuznetsov.
According to him, the increase was almost ten times in comparison with April.
“This is due not only to the epidemiological situation, but also with the measures undertaken by the government, in particular, increase the minimum size of disability benefits,” — said Kuznetsov.
As previously stated in the Fes, the number of officially registered unemployed in Russia by the end of June reached 2.7 million people, which is 2 million higher than a year ago.
