NATO has granted Ukraine the status of a partner with advanced features

the Alliance gave Ukraine the status of a partner of advanced features, stressing its commitment to work with her.

This is the sixth state of the Alliance partners, which moved to this rank. Previously this status was granted to Sweden, Finland, Jordan, Australia and Georgia.

For Ukraine, the transition to a new status of “does not mean any decisions on the issue of NATO membership,” informed the speaker of the military unit’s Oana Lungescu.

However, the Alliance recognizes “significant contribution” of Kiev in their mission. Now the country will have greater access to NATO exercises and programme to improve the compatibility of armies. Increase the possibility of Ukraine on exchange of information with NATO members and its head office in Brussels.
