Ukraine could become a full member of NATO, but only after the country large-scale reforms. About this on air of “Ukrainian radio” said the head of the NATO mission in Ukraine Alexander Vinnikov.
He said that the need to conduct comprehensive reforms in the security sector and defence, including the implementation in 2018 of the law “On national security of Ukraine”. We are talking about the reform of the SBU, the intelligence sector, the adoption of the bill “On state secret” and “On the parliamentary oversight of the security sector and intelligence”, as well as the reform of the military-technical complex, judicial reform. Also requires a systematic struggle against corruption.
Still need to conduct comprehensive reforms in the economy that investors were protected, said a NATO spokesman.
