New Zealand has taken the decision to suspend the extradition agreement concluded with Hong Kong. The reason was the law on national security passed in China, reports Radio New Zealand, citing a statement by the head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs Winston Peters.
As stated by Peters, the authorities have decided to “give adequate and conscious response to the adoption of the law on national security.” Review of New Zealand’s relations with Hong Kong could also refer to the export of strategically important products and recommendations on travel.
