Two people were detained in downtown St. Petersburg. Yevgeny Musin and Svetlana Kovalets held pickets on Vasilievsky island.

As stated on the website “OVD-info”, the protesters opposed the “eternal reign” of Vladimir Putin.

As earlier reported, July 1, in the conditions of a pandemic on the coronavirus, Russia will host a nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution. In the list of amendments to the basic law is that theoretically will allow the current President to rule for another two six-year terms, to 2036.
