OSCE urged to send observers to Azerbaijan and Armenia

the European Union has offered to send OSCE observers to the border of Azerbaijan and Armenia, where the second day, fighting continued.

As noted on the website of the European external action service, “a serious violation of the cease-fire indicates the need to resume the OSCE monitoring”.

In turn, the OSCE urged both sides in the conflict to immediately stop hostilities and return to negotiations under the auspices of the Minsk group.

Clashes on the border between the two countries erupted on July 12. According to Azerbaijan, Armenia fired at the Azerbaijani positions, killing three soldiers. Yerevan, meanwhile, accused the Azerbaijani military in the attempted attack. Today, the shelling continued.
