The inaugural evening will take the form of a tribute to Notre-Dame de Paris, around the work of Victor Hugo, and the whole of the manuscripts is retained by the Library. Highlight of the show, a “video mapping” made from the iconography of the BNF on the cathedral. The screening will take place from 22h to midnight.

Photos, facades, engravings, tapestries, architectural studies, extracts from the original manuscript of Victor Hugo… The scenography has been conceived from two dozen works selected within the archives of the BNF referring to the cathedral. The BNF retains a rich iconography in connection with Our Lady: representations of the cathedral in the illuminated manuscripts of the Sixteenth century, prints and drawings from the Fifteenth century to today, the photographs of Henri Le Secq or Eugene Atget in the Nineteenth century up to the recordings of recitals of the Great Organ of Notre-Dame de Paris or the film that Éric Rohmer, was provided in 1969.
