PEC member: do Not want to participate in the circus

The member of the precinct election Commission No. 83 from Omsk Eugene Rukgaber decided not to work on the vote on the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. As he told the correspondent of “Rosbalt”, he signed an open appeal to the members of the PEC, “We are not expendable”. Eugene Rukgaber said that, although the treatment is mainly indicated for the dangers of the spread of the coronavirus, but his personal decision was influenced by political motives. “I signed not only because of the danger of coronavirus. The letter also mentioned that the amendments to the law have already been taken, and the voting itself is an act of “goodwill”. But I think this voting is not an act of “goodwill”, and the usual profanity. And I decided to sign the letter, even if the political context it is mentioned very briefly or even if it does not,” – said a member of the electoral Commission. Rukgaber stressed that he was against the adoption of the amendments and against the voting procedure. “Initially, I have a different opinion. In March, I publicly said that I wanted to come to work to vote to vote against and then talk about how the procedure looked like from the inside. But, as is the current situation – the absence of observers, etc., I decided not to participate in this circus. Moreover, due to the spread of coronavirus can I get infected myself and infect their loved ones or, if he is infected, infecting other people. So I think that in this case – the case is absolutely illegal way amendments – makes no sense to take part in it,” said Eugene Rukgaber. Recall that more than three hundred members of precinct election commissions (PECs) with the right to vote have signed an open letter urging colleagues not to work for voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. They recalled, with reference to the CEC head, Ella Pamfilova, the Kazakhstani international arbitrage, aand amendments have been made. Meanwhile, the contacts of members of the commissions with thousands of people at the polling stations threatening infection of the coronavirus, which could be deadly for the elderly.
