Popova: 14% tested have antibodies to COVID-19, but the virus will forever remain with us

14% of 650 thousand people were tested in 46 regions of the Russian Federation for antibodies to the new coronavirus, have protective titers. This was stated by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova at the meeting of the Presidium of the coordination Council of the government for combating coronavirus. While Popov stressed that COVID-19 “will forever remain with us”, reports “Interfax”.

Popov said that the best immunity to coronavirus produced in children. She cited figures: the proportion immune among minors up to 17 years — almost 20%, those between 18 to 64 years is 14%, and 65 years and older with only 11%.

Popov added that held 13.5 million tests for coronavirus, and committed “a clear trend decline in growth rate”.
