Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government three months to create a road map for the elimination of pollution in Usolye-Sibirskoye. The order was published on the portal of legal information.
“the Government of the Russian Federation: in three-months term to approve the action plan (road map) for the prevention and elimination of environmental pollution in the urban area of Usolye-Siberian the Irkutsk region as a result of economic activities related to manufacturing of chemical products”, — stated in the document.
Putin Also instructed the defense Ministry to participate in the development and implementation of the road map.
Earlier, Putin said that the situation in Usole-Sibirskoe, where located emergency facilities chemical wastes, long time no one did, and the situation there is suppressed. According to him, the acting Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev has addressed to Moscow with the request to consider aaproblem in the region “at a high level.” Putin noted that the situation in Usolye-Sibirskoye “were saved” since the 1930-ies. He recalled: it worked a major chemical company, and now the objects of waste himproizvodstva came to the emergency state.
