Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to include in the list most affected by the situation with the spread of the coronavirus industries passenger rail transport and inland waterway transport. This was reported on the Kremlin website.

“to Include in the list of sectors of the Russian economy, the worst affected in the deteriorating situation with the spread of novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the following economic activities: activities in transportation of passengers by rail and inland water transport activities”, — specified in the list of orders to the government.

An initial list of the most affected sectors in need of special support from the state, was approved on 3 April 2020, and it included nine areas, employing about 4 million workers. Later, the list was supplemented by twice — it was included theaters, dental clinics, museums, zoos and all non-food retail.

In the end, the most affected by the pandemic were considered: road transport, air transport, tourism, exhibition activities, hotels, entertainment and leisure, catering, domestic services, culture and sport, non-food retailers, as well as dental services, internal transport, and commuter rail transportation, manufacture of products of national art crafts and activities for the implementation of trade through the machines and the media.
