Russia will send into space

Deputy head on science of the Institute of biomedical problems of RAS Vladimir Sychev told about the project biological satellite, which is scheduled to launch into space after 2025.

In an interview with RIA Novosti, he said that the passengers of the satellite “Return-ICA” will be the 20 mice, they will go to a height of 200 thousand kilometers and will hold there for about a month.

the Development unit is engaged in space-Rocket center “Progress” (enterprise “Roscosmos”, the financing will be carried out under the Federal space program.

as early as 2023, the researchers plan to launch a second biosatellite “Bion-M” to the orbit height 500 km, to study the effect of artificial silay tegest on animals. For this purpose, the spacecraft will install a centrifuge.

Animals will keep on solid feed, as the water will give melirovannye water. During the experiment, only mice-males, as females have more serious protection system adverse effects.

According to Sychev, NASA has already applied to Roskosmos with request for participation of American scientists in the study of mice after space flight on the first Russian biological satellite “Bion-M”.

At the same time requests for study mice received so many Russian and foreign scientists will have to study animals and their tissues. It is expected that they will be distributed between representatives of France, USA and Germany.

Recall that the first satellite “Bion-M” was launched into space in April—may 2013 on Board were mice, snails, fish, crustaceans and various microorganisms. In the years 1973-1996 visited 11 satellites “Bion”, which flew the 12 monkeys.
