Scientists found a natural substance that kills cancer cells

American scientists have discovered a new anticancer natural compound, reports Cursor.info with reference to the publication in the publication of Developmental Cell.

According to the research of experts from the University of Washington, human cancer cells can kill polyunsaturated fatty acid — dihomogamma-linolenic acid (DGLA). It’s a natural substance in small quantities in the human body, but is rarely found in the diet.

the Study showed that DGLA can induce ferratas — the process by which the adjustable cell death due to iron-dependent oxidation of lipid membranes. In the future, scientists plan to investigate the mechanism of polyunsaturated acid and to find a way to deliver links to cancer.
