Consuming two apples a day people have relaxed blood vessels. Regular addition in the diet of this fruit can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, researchers found, which cites the American journal of Clinical Nutrition.
They conducted an experiment with the participation of 40 people with high cholesterol levels. Subjects were asked to eat two large apples daily for 8 weeks. The researchers then compared their performance. It turned out that the level of “bad” cholesterol after the experiment, has decreased nearly 4%, and the blood vessels were healthier and more relaxed.
Experts explain — in two large apples contains almost a quarter of the daily recommended dose of dietary fiber, and fiber that feeds the bacteria in the intestine, can reduce the cholesterol levels.
