At the online meeting of the monitoring Committee of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe agreed that the idea of amendments is cause for immediate legal expertise.

As reported Znak.com the authors of the petition the lawyer-constitutionalist Stanislav Stanskogo and human rights activist Yuri Dzhibladze, the Commission must examine the amendment of the Constitution of the Russian Federation on compliance with European and international standards of democracy and the rule of law and the legal obligations of Russia within the framework of the Council of Europe.

Noted, Thu the expert evaluation of the Commission are Advisory in nature. Consideration date of issue not yet known.

Recall that a nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution was scheduled for 22 April, but then postponed due to the difficult epidemiological situation in the country.
