The EU will enhance preparedness in the event of a second wave of coronavirus

Vice-President of the European Commission maroš Šefčovič stated that the second wave of the coronavirus in the fall remains a real threat.

According to him, EU countries are actively working to prepare for the return of the epidemic and stocking medical equipment and drugs.

After a meeting of EU Ministers for European Affairs, maroš Šefčovič drew attention to the importance of cooperation of EU countries in the health sector.

“We are very actively working to improve our readiness for a possible second wave of the pandemic,” he said.

Recall that the number of people infected with coronavirus in the world has exceeded 5.3 million, more than 342 thousand people died.
