Moscow Prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in the case of a fatal accident in Smolensk square, which staged a famous actor Mikhail Efremov.
As reported the press service of the Supervisory authority, the artist is charged with part 4 of article 264 of the criminal code (“Violation of a person administering car, traffic rules, committed in a state of intoxication, entailed on imprudence death of the person”).
“the Case of Ephraim” will consider the Presnensky court of Moscow. He faces a term of five to 12 years.
Scandalous road accident with participation of Ephraim occurred on the evening of June 8, when the actor went on the Garden ring in Moscow into the oncoming lane and collided with a van. The driver of the van died in hospital. In the blood of Ephraim found traces of alcohol and drugs.
To date, the actor doesn’t admit guilt in an accident, but is ready to pay compensation to the families of the deceased Zakharova in connection with the fact that his car was involved in an accident.
