Tomic Misakyan, a lawyer convicted of justifying terrorism journalist Svetlana Prokopieva, appealed the verdict. This became known to the Centre for protecting media rights.
According to counsel, the verdict “cannot be considered legitimate and justified”. The city noted that the judgment stated that Prokop partially admitted his guilt, although this is not true.
As he emphasized, the verdict has no “legal analysis publications Svetlana; it is essentially replaced by the abundant citation of examinations conducted by the prosecution”. However, as noted by the city, in the text column Prokopieva no evidence of justification of terrorism.
