The lawyer told the version of the FSB, as Safronov could allegedly transmit secret information

Russia’s FSB claims that a former journalist of “Kommersant” and “Vedomosti”, now the adviser to the head of “Roscosmos” Ivan Safronov had passed classified information to Czech intelligence services by using software for encryption. As reported TASS, said his lawyer, Ivan Pavlov.

“He, according to the FSB, allegedly handed over sensitive information through the Internet using encryption software VeraCrypt” — he said.

According to him, experts of Institute of criminalistics of the FSB reviewed publications Safronova and did not find evidence of disclosure of state secrets.

Ivan Safronov accused of treason. He is under arrest until September 6.

In Roscosmos said that the detention does not concern the current work of the Corporation, and Safronov had no access to classified information.
