Europe and NATO need to determine a unified position on the threat posed by Russia. This was stated by the Minister of defence of Germany Annegret Kramp-karrenbauer of the discussion on the site of the American analytical center Atlantic Council.
She stressed that “Russia must clearly understand that Europe and NATO are strong, consistent in action and want to seriously work on the threat from Russia”.
“We see an aggressive policy of the Russian leadership, including in the East of Ukraine, in the Crimea. Russia does not respect the right of other countries to self-determination,” said the Minister. Crump, Karrenbauer added, however, that “Russia is an important partner, an important neighbor, and the people there are wonderful.”
