the Government of the Russian Federation submitted to the state Duma a draft law assigns to the Ministry of justice the authority to maintain the list of extremist organizations, the correspondent “of Rosbalt”.
If the law passes, the Ministry of justice will approve the procedure for maintaining the list of public and religious associations and other organisations in respect of which the court accepted the decision on liquidation or ban of activities in connection with extremism. In the list also are recognized by the court as extremist enterprises, whose activity has been suspended.
“the Need for legal regulation in the field is dictated by the existing problems associated with the disclosure of information about the organizations, with increased terms of inclusion of these institutions in the lists (in some cases up to 2 years), the need for departmental resolution of this issue”, — stated in the explanatory note to the project.
