the Moscow city court has considered possible to reduce from 15 to 10 days the arrest of journalist of “Novaya Gazeta” Ilya Azar, who was detained for picket in support of the Creator of a public “Ombudsman police” Vladimir Vorontsov. It is reported by RIA “Novosti” with reference to the lawyer of Leonid Solovyov.
According to him, the court described the hazard as the participation in the picket of the queue. It is expected that the hazard will be released on 7 June.
Originally Cole was sentenced to 15 days of arrest for a picket in support of Vorontsov. The arrest of the journalist provoked discontent among colleagues. A number of journalists also came out in solidarity action and were arrested.
Commenting on the arrest, the Moscow police said that in the city in connection with the operation of high alert due to coronavirus banned any public events.
