The Pentagon called Russia and Turkey to

the U.S. appealed to Russia and Turkey with a call to “stop military action in Libya” and switch to diplomatic measures and the fight against terrorism. The corresponding statement was made at a briefing to reporters, Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman.

According to Hoffman, the U.S. government “are opposed to military action in the region” and asked “all parties who are there, the Russians, Turks and others — to stop their actions.”

Earlier, the Russian government rejected accusations of involvement in the Libyan conflict and said that Moscow stands for the peaceful settlement of the situation and maintains contact with the two warring sides.
