Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held the first official meeting with the new President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Aricom Harutyunyan, according to Sputnik Armenia. The meeting was held on the day the Sardarapat battle with Turkish troops in 1918, which is considered the day of Foundation of the first Armenian Republic.
Pashinyan believes that the combination of the potentials of Armenia and NKR should lead to a synergy effect.
“Armenia and Karabakh is a common space of security, and our plans and challenges are obvious today. I’m sure we can work together to confront these challenges and manage to bring the country on the path of long-term development”, — said the Armenian Prime Minister.
the Head of Karabakh called integration with Armenia is one of the important tasks. “We expect your support, or rather, continue the current pace of assistance that you have given all these years”, — said Harutyunyan.
Recall that until the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, established in the territory of the former Azerbaijani SSR, is not recognized by any country of the world, including Armenia.
